28.09.2007 19 September 2007 took place a Descent operation of a high quality wooden (oak) hull of 170 feet (52 meter) sailing yacht project “Imperia” built in a Russian military shipyard in Sochi. his particular event became a symbol of the end of the 1st construction stage.

he descent operation began at 8 am. It is worth to underline that such an unprecedented and unique project had required a long-term preparation work: calculations, design, and architecture. A 90m railroad down to the sea had been constructed especially for this event. As there was no 100% guaranty of success it was decided to insure the whole operation plus the transportation period.
